XCEO Board Succession is four (4) rich and comprehensive components:

BASE (Board Attributes, Skills, Experiences Analysis)

• XCEO collaborates with the nonprofit organization and defines the appropriate skills and experiences necessary to successfully fill a position on the board.
• XCEO engages each board member in the BASE Analysis (Board Attributes, Skills and Experiences) which identifies gaps of particular skills and experiences.
• XCEO creates the specifications for the search.

The Search Process

• XCEO searches and identifies the best highly qualified and experienced candidates from our pool of existing clients and prospects.
• XCEO conducts interviews vetting those that exhibit the personal and professional qualities to best serve the nonprofit.
• XCEO presents qualified candidates until a selection has been made.

The On-Boarding Process

• XCEO facilitates a collaborative process over a twelve (12) month period with the selected candidate and the nonprofit.
• XCEO offers unique and effective tools and services to assist the candidate in identifying, assessing, and improving their current performance abilities in board knowledge, attitudes and behaviors.
• XCEO coordinates participation of the candidate with activities specific to the nonprofit organization to acclimate him or her to staff, programs and clients of the nonprofit.

Ongoing Development

• XCEO will continue the relationship with the newly placed board member to support that individual as he or she continues to evolve as a highly effective director.
